About the Costa del Sol

The Costa del Sol is a region located on the southern coast of Spain, known for its Mediterranean climate and beautiful beaches. It stretches along the Andalusian coast, from the province of Málaga to the province of Almería. The region is popular with tourists for its good weather all year round, with average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C in the summer and around 15°C in the winter. Some experience with riding in mountainous areas is suggested as well as good overall fitness. You should at the very least possess the skills as taught in Mountain Biking 101.

 

Do I have to bring my own mountain bike?

No, there are many excellent bike shops on the Costa del Sol that provide rental services. Further details are provided in the guide. Please note: There is no bike shop in El Chorro, but you can get it delivered there. 

 

How long does the whole tour on the Costa del Sol take?

However long you want, but usually 1 to 3 weeks. We’ll share some of our personal recommendations for different itineraries in the guide.
